Who is behind STOKED BBQ?
STOKED BBQ is run by Thijs and Silke. Driven by our passion for outdoor living, fire, and shared enjoyment, we're building a brand that revolves around experience. With our products, we want to bring people together around the fire, create delicious memories, and make the ultimate outdoor experience tangible.
STOKED BBQ was founded in 2020 by Thijs and Jordy, who laid the foundation for this adventure together. In June 2025, Jordy handed over the reins, and Silke and Thijs are taking the next steps. We're fully committed to creating an experience and are increasingly bringing this experience to life at events and gatherings. Together, we're moving full steam ahead to introduce STOKED to even more people.
Our story
We're often found outdoors, especially around dinnertime. Whether it's barbecuing, baking pizza, or simply enjoying a fire together, for us it's all about fire and the experience. In the past, that meant a traditional barbecue or garden fireplace: first grill, then put the lid on and light the fire. But as evening wore on and the appetite returned, the charcoal often burned out. A late-night barbecue was usually out of the question.
That's exactly where our idea came from: What if we developed a multifunctional barbecue? One that lets you cook on both charcoal and wood fires, that can also be used as a patio fireplace, and that even bakes pizzas. So you don't have to choose; you have everything in one.
That practical idea quickly blossomed into a unique kit: the STOKED BBQ Braai, a versatile outdoor piece of furniture that combines cooking and the fire experience. This year, we've added the STOKED Mini: a compact, portable version that lets you enjoy the same experience anywhere, from the park to the balcony.
With STOKED, we want to bring people together around the fire to cook, share, and create memories – again and again.
